Nhuri is one photographer who isn’t afraid of pushing the creative boundaries. As the co-founder of Burnt House Productions, a Bermuda based advertising agency, Nhuri has become a frontrunner in the area of luxury lifestyle photography and film. Amazingly enough, he’s self-taught.
As he tells it, nearly 10 years ago, his life was on a radically different track in the corporate world. While working in the local banking industry, Nhuri had an epiphany one day – he should be doing more with his creative passions and natural talent for photography. He stepped away from his cubicle and vowed never to return to that type of working environment again.
These days he gets paid to travel and photograph Architecture and Lifestyle work for the top hotel brands in the world.

Nhuri has captured images for some of Bermuda’s most prestigious and iconic brands – from Gosling’s, a family owned rum company established in 1824, to Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club, a newly-renovated luxury urban resort overlooking Hamilton Harbour. His stunning imagery has appeared in magazines, websites and billboards in Bermuda and around the world.

There’s nothing that Nhuri loves more in life than his family. He’s
married to his college sweetheart Sherice and together, they are raising their two beautiful girls – Noa and Elliah. Their sweet cocker spaniel Kalli is a perfect complement to their family and ensures there’s never a dull moment in the Bashir household.

Nhuri has had the privilege of shooting celebrities like Bermuda-born, Olympic-winning triathlete Flora Duffy; Jamaican reggae artist Luciano; and world renown chef, restaurateur and Food Network star, Marcus Samuelsson.
Nhuri’s catalogue of work includes striking advertisements showcasing premium international hotel brands such as Viceroy, The Ritz-Carlton and Fairmont, to his powerful editorial work that tells a story all its own. A ‘go-to’ professional in his industry, Nhuri is known to handle everything from photography to full scale production management.
When he’s not experimenting behind the lens, you can find Nhuri at home with his lovely wife Sherice, their daughters Noa and Elliah and fur-baby, a cocker spaniel named Kalli. His wife describes him as a free spirit, full of creative energy and enthusiasm – all traits that make being married to him a blast! He is also an avid traveller – having visited every continent so far except Australia and Antarctica – Nhuri is someone determined to soak up every drop of adventure he can, and approaches each job with that same gusto.
