Turks & Caicos – Film Story

Being a Bermudian comes with 2 strict un-written rules. 1) You need to learn the ‘airport nod’ (gesture of respect) for when you hear your native accent being spoken by a fellow countryman – no matter what the scenario is or the country you encounter it in. 2) You never concede to the fact that a beach could be marginally as beautiful as our pink sand beaches. I can faithfully live up to the fact that I politely nod to all Bermudians that I see in any airport, however, my faith was torn in the second respect. Providenciales, known locally as Provo, made me truly question my allegiance. I was told by the The Ritz-Carlton, Turks & Caicos team that Grace Bay was a sight to behold and facts be facts they told no lies. I walked for about an hour trying to find a bad angle, a misplaced pebble or even a discarded chip bag, something to bring me back to my senses. It couldn’t be true…??? Sooo, after deep contemplation and soul searching, the only conclusion I could make is – I’m conflicted. Conflicted in a good way and long story short you have to go and make your own mind up. I’ll keep my assessment to myself! I Ain Ga Lie.
