Trip Purpose & Context
Why St. Regis Bermuda?
Although I live on the island, I’ve partnered with the resort on several shoots to highlight their suites, lobby, and prime location near Fort St. Catherine. Over time, we expanded into a social media campaign showcasing sunrise pool shots, dining experiences, and a breezy suite lifestyle—complete with the help of Bermudian model Nalia Paige.
The Main Goal
Our goal was simple: capture the grandeur of this property while showcasing the special ways St. Regis Bermuda stands out among other luxury resorts in the region.

First Impressions: Lobby Love
Walk through St. Regis Bermuda’s front doors, and you’re immediately greeted by 20-foot floor-to-ceiling windows framing the turquoise ocean. It’s a jaw-drop moment—even for me, a local who’s seen more than my fair share of beach views!
Inside, the décor is modern yet warm, with plenty of subtle nods to Bermuda’s signature pastel palette. The friendly staff sets the tone for the entire stay, welcoming guests like old friends and ensuring every detail is taken care of.
Luxury Highlights: What Makes St. Regis Bermuda Shine
- Incredible Ocean-View Suites
Each room is carefully appointed, with panoramic windows that seem to pull the ocean right inside. My camera was practically begging to capture those balcony shots at sunrise and sunset. - The St. Regis Bar
One of the most visually striking spots is the St. Regis Bar, crowned by a shimmering glass tile mural. We photographed our model, clad in a silver dress, enjoying cocktails and banter with the bartender—perfectly capturing that elevated, convivial vibe. - Exceptional Service
It’s the people who really make St. Regis Bermuda special. From the front desk to poolside staff, everyone went out of their way to make sure the shoot was seamless—even arranging pool umbrellas at the crack of dawn so we could get the perfect shot.
Photography Approach: Crafting Island Grandeur
Gear Talk
- Fuji GFX50S for architectural details. The GFX’s high resolution ensures every line and texture in the suites and lobby is crisp.
- Sony A7R IV for lifestyle shots. Its speed and versatility let me capture candid moments, like a model stepping out of the pool at sunrise or sipping a cocktail in the bar.
Challenges & Rewards
- Interiors & Natural Light: Balancing the bright ocean views with the resort’s interior lighting was critical. I focused on exposing for both the view and the room details, ensuring each shot conveyed the full luxury experience.
- Creative Collaboration: Working with my Burnt House Productions business partner, Andrew, always pushes us to try fresh angles. Our operations manager, Ticole, also kept everything (and everyone!) on schedule—an unsung hero of any successful shoot!

Personal Anecdotes: Sunrise, Shadows & Smiles
One of my favorite memories is our sunrise pool shoot. The staff arrived early to position lounge chairs and umbrellas, and their upbeat attitudes turned what could have been a groggy morning into a creative playground.
The unexpected bonus? The morning shadows cast these dramatic, geometric patterns across the pool deck, adding an extra layer of visual interest. It was a happy surprise that led to some of my favorite Bermuda luxury photography shots.

When to Visit & What to Pack
- Best Time to Visit Bermuda
Generally, April through October offers the warmest weather and plenty of sunshine—prime conditions for beach time and snapping those postcard-perfect views. If you prefer fewer crowds, visiting in late spring or early fall often hits the sweet spot. - What to Pack
Light, breathable clothing is a must in Bermuda’s subtropical climate. Throw in a light sweater for breezy evenings and remember your swimsuit—St. Regis’s pool and Bermuda’s beaches will be calling your name! A camera or a great smartphone is essential if you want to capture your own high-end travel photography in Bermuda moments.

The St. Regis Brand Experience
I’ve been lucky enough to see a few St. Regis properties, and there’s something truly heartwarming about St. Regis Bermuda. Maybe it’s because I live here, but there’s a familial warmth to the staff that transcends the typical hospitality script.
Speaking of brand rituals, the afternoon tea sessions we shot were a lovely nod to St. Regis’s tradition of refined social gatherings—complete with decadent pastries and freshly brewed teas.

Final Thoughts
Bermuda has an effortless elegance that’s hard to describe until you’ve seen it firsthand. St. Regis Bermuda harnesses that energy in every lounge chair, every suite window, and every heartfelt greeting. Whether you’re a guest soaking in the sunshine or a photographer chasing the perfect shot, this is an island experience that keeps calling you back.
So go ahead—book that trip, pack your sense of adventure, and prepare to see why Bermuda’s pastel shores (and the stunning St. Regis) continue to captivate locals and visitors alike.
If you’re craving an unforgettable blend of island charm and five-star service, I highly recommend visiting the St. Regis Bermuda.
